It is considered a luxury spice in many regions, which is not least due to the complex harvest: the supplier is the crocus sativus, which is grown on fields in the region around Mazhar in Iran. The flowers are picked by hand in October or November immediately after the start of the flowering period – only the three orange pistils. Enormous care is required here, which cannot be achieved by any machine.
The saffron threads are then dried and packaged to give them their unique aromas. Available in 10 gram packs, our product is from the 2022 harvest and should be stored in a cool, dry place.
